The Functional Materials Group is working in the design of materials with innovative physico-chemical properties. To this end it deals with the synthesis of nanocrystalline and amorphous materials, their structural characterization with advanced techniques and the study of their reactivity and magnetic properties.

  • IIT-SEED project NANOCAT (Highly porous NANOcomposites for CATalysis) which has been funded by the Italian Institute of Technology (2010-2012).

  • High priority program “Highly porous nanocomposites for the production of carbon nanotubes” within the framework of the Scientific and Technological Executive program Italy-Hungary 2011-2013.

  • PRIN 2009, funded by MIUR, coordinated by Prof. Daniele Gozzi.
